Biography
Sawyer Burkhalter is a lifelong resident of Valdosta, Georgia. He graduated, with honors, from Valdosta State University with a bachelor’s degree in political science. Upon graduation, he was accepted into the University of Georgia School of Law. During law school, he developed an interest in a variety of practice areas. Sawyer earned his law degree in May 2020 and became a member of the State Bar of Georgia in February 2021.
Upon returning to Valdosta, Sawyer began working for the Georgia Department of Labor, resolving unemployment matters as an Administrative Hearing Officer.
In October 2022, Sawyer began his employment as an Associate Attorney for the Bajalia Law Firm, P.C. Sawyer works very closely with founding attorney, Nick M. Bajalia, and plays a vital role in every stage of the firm’s cases. His responsibilities range from case investigation, document drafting, complex e-discovery management, preparation for hearings, depositions, and trials, and maintaining effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
Sawyer is married to the former Abby Boykin. They have one son, Harvey. In his free time, Sawyer enjoys spending time with family and friends, enjoying good food, and reading.
